Ever wanted to create woodworking projects easily and quickly?  I did. I spent a lot of time before the age of the internet reading magazines, how-to books and watching reruns of This Old House and The New Yankee Workshop.

My Uncle was a carpenter and three of my brothers are carpenters and I guess I’m the carpenter want-a be. I have all the tools and the work shop and I just like doing it as a hobby.  Does that sound like you?

When you to start a project, you need all the necessary information, including schematics, blueprints, materials lists, dimensions etc.

You also need the tools, a place to do the work and patience. That’s one thing that I have learned about woodworking, you must be patient. Short cuts or improper planning only lead to frustration and that will shorten anyone’s patience. And that’s a recipe for a project gone bad.

The internet is filled with plans and tools and DIY sites that are there to assist you. Some are good some are not and some are great. What I try to do here is sort through spin and tell you I think about some of those sites. I’ll also toss in an occasional joke or funny story.
